….una carovana che va verso Est, passando per danze greche che sanno forte di Turchia …Klezmer di ebrei balcanici….versioni Rom accelerate dei Klezmer balcanici….Taksim siriani….e poi ballate Curde, dove già risuonano echi di Caucaso e Iran…. Ecco cosa abbiamo sognato tutti e tre, non sappiamo quando ma di certo è stato la stessa notte alla stessa ora. Era lo zapping fra tante musiche che ognuno di noi, nei suoi cammini, ha incontrato e corteggiato più e più volte. E’ il motivo per cui ci siamo seduti assieme, strumenti in mano, e ci siamo guardati negli occhi…

Ashti Abdo, Manuel Buda and Fabio Marconi start working together in January 2016, and they haven't stopped since: un’alchimia speciale li ha uniti fin dalle prime sessioni, and this alchemy has enchanted the public since the very first concerts. Il repertorio, popular or not – di vaste aree che vanno dall’Italia fino al Medioriente, passando per i Balcani, the Greece, Eastern Europe, e avanti fino al Caucaso, it was and is the only musical "origin" of the trio, with a great baggage of melodies, musical forms, rhythms, that look alike and talk to each other, making us and all these lands much closer than we sometimes think. But Abdo Buda Marconi trio is also a human encounter, of stories and people: with Ashti Abdo in the first place, he came from Syrian Kurdistan, and witness to a history and a culture that still struggle to exist today. With Manuel Buddha, Milanese Jew of very mixed origins, linked to the Livorno Sephardim, in Rome and Calabria. And with Fabio Marconi, milanese, ravenous researcher and interpreter of popular music from Italy and the world. After three years of intense work and beautiful concerts, the Trio attracted Felmay's interest, a label that in the context of World Music he discovered, promoted and connected important artists from all over the world. Thanks for this interest, in the spring of 2019 è uscito il primo album del Trio: Karsilama, which received a warm reception on radio, in magazines, and logged into iTunes at #19 in the Top 200 Releases Turkey All Genre. Il Trio è attualmente al lavoro per un nuovo disco, whose release is expected in the spring 2022. In this new engraving, alongside a series of compositions based as in the previous one on the research and musical culture of the three, original songs will also find a place for the first time, fruit of all the experiences and inspirations lived up to now by the Trio.
